TROY, Mich. — PANS, the Polish American Numismatic Society, established in 1981, is a non-profit Educational Numismatic Society dedicated to preserving Polish History and Culture through Collecting Polish Coins, Medals, Paper Money and other numismatic related items. We also talk about United States Numismatics and World Coins, Tokens, and Medals.
The PANS Society lectures and meetings are posted on the PANS web site, www.pans-club.org. The meetings are held on Saturdays at 12:00 pm at the American Polish Cultural Center library in Troy, Michigan.
The PANS Society also co-hosts Internet zoom lectures. These lectures are held along with the Polskie Towarzystwo Numizmatyczne (PTN) in Warsaw, Poland, and the Trojak Coin Club of Toronto, Canada. All PANS planned zoom Internet lectures are posted on the PANS website www.pans-club.org.
One of the largest events on the PANS calendar this year, is the American Numismatic Association’s “World’s Fair of Money” Coin Convention, from Aug. 6-10, 2024. The event is held in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont. IL. With over 1,000 tables, the ANA Convention in Rosemont, IL is the biggest coin show in the world.
Participants include Numismatic Coin Dealers from the USA, and from all over the World, Coin Grading Companies from the USA, (NGC and PCGS), coin Auction Companies, the US Mint, and Mints from around the world, including the Polish Mint.
PANS will be joined by PTN, Polskie Towrzystwo Numizmatyczne. Representatives from the PANS (Polish American Numismatic Society) of Troy, Michigan will include PANS President Mr. Lester J. Rosik. Representatives from PTN, a Polish Numismatic Society of Warsaw, Poland include President of PTN, Mr. Przemysław Ziemba, Vice-President of PTN, Mr. Dariusz Budzelewski and Vice-President of Krakow, Poland PTN branch, Mr. Dariusz Filip Jasek.
Many interesting numismatic items will be on display at the ANA “World’s Fair Of Money” at the Rosemont, IL Convention Center from August 06-10, 2024. Representatives from the Polish Mint will also be present.
From August 06-08, 2024 at the ANA World’s Fair of Money Convention, PANS and PTN Representatives will be handing out complimentary copies of a newly translated children’s book (Polish-English Edition). “Monety Królów” (Coins of the Kings) by Roussana Alex-Nowakowska and PTN, will be distributed to all the children who stop by with their parent or guardian at the PANS booth.
On Thursday, August 08,2024 at 4:00PM, the PTN Society and the PANS Society will co-host a Parent’s, Guardian’s and Children’s Meeting at the Rosemont Convention Center. Room information will be disclosed at the information booth at the Rosemont Convention Center on Thursday, August 08, 2024).
PTN and PANS representatives will give a brief presentation of their organizations and will hand out free copies Monety Królów.
